The Sports Training  Hockey Academy – specializing in excelling in individual skills development on our 4,000 square foot synthetic ice rink. The Sports Training Hockey Academy is home to target shooting, passing stations, stick handling stations, and agility station and coming soon – the GTA’s biggest skate ramp. The Sports Training Hockey Academy offers a variety of packages including: Team Training, Shooting Clinic, Stickhandling Clinic, Conditioning and Skating development, Adult Hockey Training, Dryland off-ice Training. All players work on mastering - stickhandling, shooting/passing and agility/endurance.

The following is a sample of Sports Training Hockey Academy’s teaching skills:
  • Wrist shot - quick release and accuracy
  •  One timers – power and accuracy
  •  Passing drills
  •  Stickhandling quickness and range
  •  Skating agility and speed
  •  Video training
  • Athletic testing
Individual Training: Customized training clinics will be available to all hockey athletes. From beginners to elite performers, players will work on their individual skill sets. Clinics will be offered according to age group and skill level. Please check the website for a schedule of upcoming clinics that suit your game. Private and semi private training session can be customized to focus on particular areas, please call or email for details. Hockey Training Clinics run throughout the week and range in time and scope.

Shooting with Coach Mike  - The wrist shot is the most important shot in the fast-paced game of hockey. Learn to develop techniques to shoot pucks quickly and accurately. Focus on quick release and power. Focus on 3 types of shots: Wrist shot, backhand and slap shot .

requesting more information. Last season sold out in 48 hours. Each game during the upcoming season
will feature two Oakville Blades Junior A players as on-ice instructors as opposed to competing 3 on 3
